What if there is no death

 সন্দেহ নেই যে সুযোগ থাকলে আমরাও তা চাই, যদি আপনার- আমার' মৃত্যু না হয়, আমরা অমর হয়ে যাই, তাহলে বেশ মজা হবে,  তাই ভাবছেন তো?

যতটা আনন্দের ভাবছেন, আসলে কী তাই হবে? 

নাকি হবে অন্য কিছু, চলুন জানার চেষ্টা করি। 

মহাবীর খ্যাত আলেকজান্ডার চেয়েছিলেন অমর হতে। তিনি ভারতে এসেছিলেন অমরত্বের সন্ধানে। অনেক খোঁজাখুঁজির পর এক যোগীর সন্ধান পান তিনি।

সম্রাটের আদেশে তাঁর সৈন্যরা সেই যোগীকে গিয়ে বললো, "আমাদের সাথে এক্ষুনি যেতে হবে"।

যোগী জানায়। "আমি কোথাও যাই না, তার সাথে আমার কোন প্রয়োজন নেই। সম্রাটের প্রয়োজন হলে এখানে আসতে পারে", 

যোগীর এই জবাব শুনে সৈন্যরা তরবারি বের করে বলল, "এক্ষুনি চলো, নাহলে তোমার মাথা কেটে নিয়ে যাব"। 

যোগী নির্বিকার, হেসে বললেন, তাহলে তাই কর। সৈন্যরা এরকম আশ্চর্য ঘটনা দেখে নি, যার মৃত্যুভয় নেই। 

কিছুক্ষণ অবাক হয়ে থেকে তারা ফিরে গেল, এবং সম্রাটকে সমস্ত ঘটনা জানাল।

আলেকজান্ডার তখন নিজেই এলেন যোগীর কাছে। কারণ তিনি যে কোন উপায়ে অমরত্ব লাভ করতে চান।  

তিনি উপস্থিত হয়ে যোগীকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, "তুমি কি আমায় অমরত্বের সন্ধান দিতে পারো?"

কোন রকম শর্ত ছাড়াই যোগী তাকে এক স্বচ্ছ জলের ঝর্ণার সন্ধান দিলেন এবং সেই ঝর্ণার জল পান করতে বললেন।

আলেকজান্ডার যোগীর নির্দেশিত পথে যাত্রা শুরু করলেন এবং যেমন যেমন বলেছিল যোগী, তেমনটাই মিলে গেল। তিনি সেই স্বচ্ছ জলের ঝর্ণার সন্ধান পেলেন। Article link

কিন্তু যখস তিনি হাতে আঁজলা করে জল নিয়ে পান করতে যাবেন, ঠিক তখনই আওয়াজ এল, 

"খেয়ো না সম্রাটা, এই জল খেয়ো না"! 

আলেকজান্ডার অবাক হয়ে তাকিয়ে দেখলেন একটা কাক, তাকে সতর্ক করছে। 

কাকটা তাকে আরো বলল, জানো আমার কত কষ্ট! 

আমি অমর। আমার মৃত্যু নেই। আমি ঝর্ণার এই জল পান করেছিলাম হাজার বছর আগে। তারপর বাঁচতে বাঁচতে পৃথিবীর চারদিকে দুঃখ দূর্দশা দেখতে দেখতে আমি ক্লান্ত। 

এখন আমার সাধ, আহ্লাদ কিছু নেই!

অনেক আগেই আমার বাঁচার ইচ্ছে মরে গেছে। বিশ্বাস কর, 

আমার একটুও বেঁচে থাকতে ইচ্ছে করে না। কিন্তু কী করব!  

আমি আত্মহত্যাও করতে পারি না! এইভাবে বেঁচে থাকা যে কি কষ্ট, তা তুমি কল্পনাও করতে পারবে না! 

কাকের কথায় আলেকজান্ডার থমকে গেলেন। জীবনে এই প্রথম মহাবীর সম্রাট ঘাবড়ে গেলেন, হাতের জল গলে পড়ে গেল নিচে। কী যেন ভেবে তিনি প্রচন্ড ভয় পেলেন। উঠে দাঁড়ালেন এবং ধীরে ধীরে পিছন ফিরে চলে গেলেন।

তিনি বুঝলেন, পৃথিবীতে একটা নির্দিষ্ট সময় বেঁচে থাকার পর

মৃত্যু সুন্দর।একটা পূর্ণ জীবন কাটিয়ে নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে পৃথিবী ছেড়ে চলে যাওয়াটা যে কত সুন্দর ও বাঞ্ছনীয়, তা যারা সেই সুযোগ দেরীতে পায় তারাই একমাত্র অনুভব করতে পারে। সবথেকে আনন্দের বিষয় হলো আমরা জানি যে আমাদের একদিন মৃত্যু হবে। তাই যতদিন আছি আনন্দ করে বাঁচি, এটাই আশা করা উচিত যে, জীবন দীর্ঘ নয়, আনন্দের হোক।

মৃত্যু আছে বলেই জীবন আনন্দের। আমরা যখন পৃথিবীতে আসি তখন আধা মৃত্যু সাথে নিয়েই আসি। মানে আধা জন্ম আধা মৃত্যু। জন্ম হয় প্রশ্বাস (inhalation) গ্রহণ দিয়ে, মৃত্যু হয় নিঃশ্বাস (exhalation) ত্যাগ দিয়ে।

আমাদের অমরত্ব হোক সৃজনে, কর্মে, অনুভবে, চেতনায়। তবে শরীরে নয়। যোগী, সাধু বা দরবেশদেরও মৃত্যু হয়। 

যোগ বা সাধনা মানে অমরত্ব নয়, যোগ মানে সংবেদনশীল জীবনযাপন। Yoga is not about eternal life, Yoga is about sensible life.

যদি প্রশ্ন করা হয় - পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে  আশ্চর্য বস্তু কী? 

এর জবাব হবে, মানুষ জানে সে একদিন মারা যাবে, তবুও আনন্দ করে, ভালবাসে, বিয়ে করে, ভবিষ্যতের  প্রজন্ম জন্ম দেয়।

প্রবীণ বয়স হলে মারা যাবে, নতুন প্রজন্ম তৈরি করে যাবে, তারা আবার বড় হবে, মারা যাবে, আবার নতুন প্রজন্ম আসবে। এই রুলিংটা ধারাবাহিকভাবে চলে আসছে যুগ যুগ ধরে। পৃথিবীর সবচে বড় সৌন্দর্যই এটা।

What if there was no death or if it were so that 'I' would not die, or 'I' was immortal!

➡️ Alexander wanted to be immortal. So he came to India in search of immortality. After much searching, he found a yogi. On the orders of the emperor, his soldiers went to the yogi and said, "We have to go with you immediately."

"I am not going anywhere, if the emperor wishes, he can come here," the yogi said.

*Hearing this, the soldiers immediately drew their swords and said, "Come, or I will take your head." The yogi remained silent, smiled and said, "Then do so." The soldiers had never seen such a wonderful thing that did not fear death. After being surprised for a while, they returned and told the emperor everything.

➡️ Alexander came by himself because immortality was a great evil. He asked the yogi, "Can you give me the secret of immortality?"

 The yogi showed him a clear water lake and told him to drink that water.

Alexander started his journey on the path indicated by the yogi and just as the yogi said, he found that clear water lake.*

*But as soon as he was about to take the water with his hand in his hand and drink it, a voice came, "Don't eat, don't eat"! He looked in surprise and saw a crow, warning him. The crow said, "You know what trouble I have! I am immortal. I have no death because I drank this water thousands of years ago. I don't want to live even a little. But what can I do! I have no desire, no joy! You can't even imagine the pain of living like this! I can't even commit suicide!

➡️ Alexander stopped a little. For the first time in his life, the emperor of Dordandapratap was nervous, the water in his hand melted. He was very scared at the thought of something.  He stood up and slowly walked back.*

➡️ Death is beautiful, very beautiful. Only those who get that opportunity late can experience how beautiful and desirable it is to leave the world at a certain time after living a full life. The most joyful thing is that we know that we will die one day. So we should live happily as long as we are, that is what we should expect. Life should not be long, but joyful.*

➡️ Death is not neative, but much more positive. Life is joyful because there is death. When we come to the world, we bring half death with us. That is, half birth, half death. Birth is by inhalation, death is by exhalation.*

*Immortality should be attained in thought, action, feeling, consciousness...not in the body. Yogis also die.  Yoga is not about immortality, Yoga is about sensible life.*

*Yoga is not about eternal life, Yoga is about sensible life.*

*Yaksha asked Yudhishthira, what is the most amazing thing in the world? Yudhishthira replied, Man knows that he will die one day, yet he rejoices, loves, marries, gives birth to the future!!
