 আজ পড়াবো না। সবাই খুব খুশি।টিচার ক্লাসের মাঝে গিয়ে একটা ব্রেঞ্চে বসলেন। বাইরে বৃষ্টি পড়ছে, বেশ গল্পগুজব করার মতো একটা পরিবেশ।স্টুডেন্টদের মনেও পড়াশোনার কোনো প্রেসার নেই। টিচার খুব আন্তরিকতার সাথেই পাশের মেয়েটিকে বললেন -

জননী তোমার কি বিয়ে হয়েছে ?

মেয়েটা একটু লজ্জা পেয়ে বললো -হ্যাঁ স্যার। আমার একটা দুই বছরের ছেলেও আছে। টিচার চট করে দাঁড়ালেন। 

খুব হাসি হাসি মুখ নিয়ে বললেন -

 আমরা আজ আমাদের একজনের প্রিয় মানুষের নাম জানবো। 

এই কথা বলে মেয়েটার দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন--- 

মা আজকে তুমিই টিচার, এই নাও চক্-ডাস্টার। যাও তোমার প্রিয় দশ জন মানুষের নাম লেখো।মেয়েটা বোর্ডে গিয়ে দশ জন মানুষের নাম লিখলো।

 টিচার বললেন --

এরা কারা ? তাদের পরিচয় ডান পাশে লেখো। মেয়েটা তাদের পরিচয় লিখলো। সংসারে, পাশেও দু একজন বন্ধু, প্রতিবেশীর নামও আছে। 

এবার টিচার বললেন ---

এই লিস্ট মুছে ফেলার প্রক্রিয়াটি আসলে একধরনের কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা পরীক্ষা। টিচার আসলে একজন রোবোটিক সাইকোলজিস্ট। মেয়েটির সিদ্ধান্ত প্রভাব ফেলবে,

সে ধীরে ধীরে তার প্রিয় বন্ধুর নাম মুছে ফেলল। এরপর বাবার আর মায়ের নামও মুছে দিল। এখন মেয়েটি সত্যিই কান্নায় ভেঙে পড়েছে। যে খেলাচ্ছলে ক্লাস শুরু হয়েছিল, সেটি আর মোটেও মজার নয়। ক্লাসের অন্যদের মধ্যেও টান টান উত্তেজনা। লিষ্টে আর বাকি আছে দুজন। মেয়েটার স্বামী আর সন্তান।টিচার্ এবারে বললেন আর একজনের নাম মোছো। কিন্তু মেয়েটা ঠায় দাঁড়িয়ে রইলো। কারোর নাম সে মুছতে পারছে না, 

টিচার বললেন,

— “জীবনে অনেক সময় এমন হবে, যখন তুমি নিজের সবচেয়ে প্রিয় মানুষটিকেও হারাতে বাধ্য হবে। তখনই বুঝবে — bangla golpo তুমি আসলে কার ওপর ভরসা রাখতে পারো।”

মেয়েটি চুপ করে ছিল। চোখের কোনা দিয়ে এক ফোঁটা জল গড়িয়ে পড়লো। টিচার্ এবার মেয়েটার কাছে গেলেন, পকেট্ থেকে একটা গিফ্ট বের করে বললেন - 

তোমার মনের উপর দিয়ে যে ঝড়টা গেলো তাঁর জন্যে আমি দুঃখিত। আর এই গিফ্ট বক্সে দশটা গিফ্ট আছে। তোমার সব প্রিয়জনদের জন্য।এবারে বলো কেন তুমি অন্য নাম গুলো মুছলে। মেয়েটা বললো -

প্রথমে বন্ধু আর প্রতিবেশীদের নাম মুছে দিলাম কারণ, তবুও আমার কাছে বেস্ট ফ্রেণ্ড আর পরিবারের সবাই রইলো। পরে যখন আরও তিনজনের নাম মুছতে বললেন, তখন বেস্ট ফ্রেণ্ড আর বাবা মায়ের নাম মুছে দিলাম,

ভাবলাম, বাবা-মা তো চিরকাল পাশে থাকবেন না। আর যদি বেস্ট ফ্রেন্ড না-ই থাকে, তাতে কী বা আসে-যায়?

অনেকেই বলে, মানুষের জীবনে সবচেয়ে বড় বন্ধুটি হয় কোনো পুরনো সহপাঠী, অফিস কলিগ বা শৈশবের সাথী। কিন্তু আমার জীবনে সবচেয়ে ভালো বন্ধুত্ব গড়ে উঠেছে দুইজনের সাথে—আমার ছেলে আর তার বাবা।

আমার ছেলে, আমার হৃদয়ের টুকরো। তার প্রতিটি হাসি, চোখের জ্যোতি, ছোট ছোট প্রশ্ন—সবকিছুতেই আমি নতুন করে বাঁচার মানে খুঁজি। আর তার বাবা? তিনি শুধু একজন জীবনসঙ্গী নন, তিনিই আমার দিনের শুরু আর শেষ।

সবচেয়ে সুন্দর সময়টা কাটে তখনই, যখন আমরা তিনজন একসাথে থাকি। ছেলে যখন বাবার সঙ্গে দুষ্টুমি করে, আমি পাশে বসে দেখি—তখন মনে হয়, বন্ধুত্ব মানেই আসলে এই বোঝাপড়াগুলো, এই নিঃশর্ত ভালোবাসা।

 কিন্তু সবার শেষে যখন এই দুজনের মধ্যে একজনকে মুছতে বললেন তখন আর সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে পারছিলাম না পরে ভেবে দেখলাম, ছেলে তো বড় হয়ে একদিন আমাকে ছেড়ে চলে গেলেও যেতে পারে।কিন্তু ছেলের বাবা তো কোনো দিনও আমাকে ছেড়ে যাবে না।

She slowly deleted the name of her dear friend. Then she deleted the names of her father and mother. Now the girl really broke down in tears. The playful way the class had started was no longer fun at all. There was tension among the others in the class. There were two more names left on the list. The girl's husband and child. The teacher now said, "I deleted another name." But the girl stood still. She couldn't delete anyone's name,

The teacher said,

— "There will be times in life when you are forced to lose even the person you love the most. That's when you will understand — who you can really trust."

The girl was silent. A drop of tear rolled down the corner of her eye. The teacher now went to the girl, took out a gift from his pocket and said - 

I am sorry for the storm that has passed through your mind.  And there are ten gifts in this gift box. For all your loved ones. Now tell me why you erased the other names. The girl said -

First, I erased the names of friends and neighbors because, still, I still have my best friend and all my family. Later, when he asked me to erase the names of three more, I erased the names of my best friend and parents,

I thought, parents will not be by my side forever. And if there is no best friend, what does it matter?

Many people say that the greatest friend in a person's life is either an old classmate, office colleague or childhood friend. But the best friendship in my life has been formed with two people—my son and his father.

My son, a piece of my heart. Every smile of his, the light in his eyes, the small questions—I find a new meaning to life in everything. And his father? He is not just a life partner, he is the beginning and end of my day.

The most beautiful time is spent when the three of us are together.  When the son is naughty with his father, I sit next to him and watch - then it seems that friendship actually means these understandings, this unconditional love.

But in the end, when he asked me to delete one of these two, I could not make a decision anymore. Later I thought, the son can leave me even if he grows up one day. But the son's father will never leave me.
